George M. Ayala is the Director of Procurement and is responsible for providing support to SAHA’s departments in the purchase of goods and services in accordance with established federal, state and local procurement rules and regulations and the administration of the Section 3 and minority contracting programs.
He brings more than 18 years of procurement experience in federal, state and Local government agencies to the role. Prior to joining SAHA, he served as the Director of Purchasing and Warehouse at Northside Independent School District and the Director of Purchasing at Laredo College. He also spent several years serving in the United States Army. He holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Master of Business Administration from the Texas A&M International University. He is also a Certified Texas Contract Developer (CTCD) and Certified Texas Contract Manager and currently serves as a SAHA representative on the Board Of Directors of the South Central Texas Regional Certification Agency (SCTRCA).
