The Lilia Cockrell Apartments were the first public housing community built in San Antonio.  Built in 1982, this development consists of 65 one-bedroom and 5 two-bedroom units in four one-story concrete buildings. Located on the outskirts of downtown, the property provides an atmosphere of country living.

The property was designed to accommodate seniors and disabled residents including those who need additional assistance for easy accessibility throughout the area.  Wireless connections are available to residents in the community room. The property has 24-hour maintenance service seven days per week. Reasonable accommodations are made for family pets. All San Antonio Housing Authority facilities are non-smoking.
