Plans for W.C. White soon to be visible

| Concept Rendering |
SAHA is moving forward with the redevelopment of the W.C. White apartments, with infrastructure work already underway and construction scheduled to begin in February 2006.
The existing 75-unit public housing community for seniors will be transformed from a 1977, outdated building, into a new vibrant and modern design. Modernization efforts will include a new community room, laundry facility, arts and crafts center, and an outdoor patio with trellis and other amenities. The new design of the common area interiors fosters interaction between residents and creates community activities.
Dwelling units were also redesigned to one- and two-bedroom units, which are all wheelchair friendly, and the kitchen in each dwelling unit features an island for convenient modern living. Additionally, a visiting doctor’s office was added to provide better access to medical care.
