SAHA receives go ahead from the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality (TCEQ)

SAHA is moving forward with exciting new plans for a community recreational area on a site at Mirasol Homes known as Parcel B.

Parcel B is a vacant, undeveloped, approximately 10-acre tract of land on the east end of the Mirasol Homes site. Staff recently received board approval to award the Contract for this redevelopment to Charley & Company.

In accordance with Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) regulations, SAHA has contracted with Geo-Marine, Environmental Consultant, for subsurface water monitoring, methane testing, and preparation of landfill cover construction documents. As part of this professional service contract, Geo-Marine will oversee land cover cap construction, providing quality control, a landfill post closure maintenance plan and a final report.

Upon installation of a two-foot clay protective top layer, topsoil and hydro-mulch, Mirasol Homes residents can look forward to a vibrant new park setting with four half-court basketball courts, a tot lot, baseball and soccer fields, and a covered pavilion.
