Youth Employment Program--A Gateway to Opportunity
The San Antonio Housing Authority’s (SAHA) 3rd Annual Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) is a great success – providing 75 youth and young adults with meaningful educational and employment opportunities, along with job training experiences.
Lewis Chatham Apartments Honored for Green Initiatives
The $7 million energy-efficient modernization of Lewis Chatham Apartments is honored by Build San Antonio Green (BSGA) as the first multi-family rehabilitation project to achieve a BSGA Level 2. The community modernization resulted in a 50% reduction of energy consumption.
Residents, youth, business leaders, organizations and elected officials were recognized for their active engagement in a comprehensive community planning effort to revitalize the Wheatley neighborhood.
