Conflicts, disagreements, or misunderstandings between workers and supervisors, or among co-workers, can cripple an organization’s effectiveness. The Human Resource department’s Employee Relations function can help resolve conflict in the workplace.
Employee Relations acts as a kind of mediator for employees at the peer and management levels. If you have a concern or question, please contact HR, and the Employee Relations staff Gerald Avila and Becky Ponce will research the problem and find an answer for the employee.
When communications between employees are strained, Employee Relations acts as an arbitrator and provides a non-confrontational forum to find a resolution.
The Employee Relations function also: makes referrals for employee assistance programs; offers policy and procedures guidance; handles affirmative action, equal employment opportunity and employee issues; and has overall responsibility for all SAHA employment opportunities.
To contact Employee Relations, call Becky Ponce at 477-6119.
